AI Oral Reading Assessment by JovialSight Chinese supports Chinese oral reading practice with G1–G3 passages, your own text and teacher-made reading videos. Optional pinyin supports all three modes.

• Short Text Practice · 短文朗读Choose a G1–G3 passage, or type/paste up to 350 Chinese characters.

• Video Reading Practice · 视频朗读练习Choose from five groups: exam-style practice and Secondary 1–4. Read the matching text even if the video is unavailable.
  选择会考练习或中一至中四材料；视频暂不可播放时仍可使用配套文本。
• Listen & Practise · 听读与分段练习Listen to system speech, then select a paragraph range for AI practice. Short paragraphs are combined.
  使用系统语音播放全文或段落，再选择段落练习；短段会合并相邻段。

Record for up to three minutes, stop, then select Submit for AI Assessment. AI-supported feedback compares recognized text with the original, highlights differences and offers targeted suggestions and estimated average pace. Reports open in English, with a Chinese option. Speech recognition may introduce errors; check differences against your recording.
每次录音最多三分钟，停止后需手动提交 AI 评估。反馈对照原文与识别文本，列出重点差异、改进建议及估计平均速度。报告默认英文，可切换中文；请对照录音核对识别差异。

How do I start? · 如何开始？
Enter an access code, choose a mode and material, allow microphone access, record, stop, then submit. The three-minute countdown freezes while recording is paused; reaching zero stops recording without submitting.
输入访问码，选择模式和材料，允许麦克风，开始录音，停止后提交。暂停时倒计时冻结，时间到只停止录音，不自动提交。

What are the minimum requirements? · 最低要求是什么？
Short Text Practice and Video Reading Practice require at least two seconds of audio and assess the full assigned text. Listen & Practise requires at least ten seconds and 50 Chinese characters of matched reading in the selected range. It assesses the matched portion, not the rest of the article.
自选文本及视频朗读至少录音2秒，按完整指定文本评估；引导朗读至少录音10秒，实际匹配朗读须达到50个中文字，只评估所选范围内实际匹配读到的部分，不将全文剩余内容直接计为漏读。

Why are short paragraphs combined? · 为什么短段会合并？
Guided practice ranges need at least 50 Chinese characters. The confirmation shows the actual combined range; listening can still play individual displayed paragraphs.
引导练习范围至少50个中文字；确认弹窗显示实际合并范围，播放仍可按显示的单段进行。

When does a practice count? · 何时计次？
Selection, listening and recording do not count. One practice counts after a valid report is received and displayed. Failed assessments do not count as successful practices, but frequent requests may trigger security limits. This tool does not yet offer paid credits.
选择、播放和录音不计次数；收到并显示有效报告后计一次。失败不计成功练习，但频繁请求仍可能触发安全限制。当前尚未提供付费点数。

Are recordings and reports saved? · 是否保存录音和报告？
This tool does not save recordings or reports on its server or in browser storage. Reports remain in the current page only; download the currently selected language as a text file before changing practice, refreshing or leaving. AI processing sends content to an external AI service; its data policy applies separately. Necessary browser-identifier, security and practice-count records are retained.
本工具不在服务器或浏览器存储中保存录音及报告。报告仅留在当前页面，更换练习、刷新或离开前，可下载当前所选语言的文本报告。AI处理会向外部AI服务发送内容，第三方数据政策另行适用；本工具保留必要的浏览器标识、安全及计次记录。

Can I practise without AI? · 可以不用 AI 练习吗？
Guided system speech does not request AI assessment; voices and pronunciation vary by device and may use a network service. For more practice, visit the separate non-AI oral reading tool.
引导模式的系统朗读不调用AI评估，音色及读音因设备而异，可能使用网络服务。也可前往独立的非AI朗读工具继续练习。
